Fergana to launch tractor manufacturing project with Chinese investment
The governor of Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, met with a delegation led by Chinese investor Yuan Yanping. During the meeting, they discussed plans for launching a tractor manufacturing project in the Kuvasoy Industrial Zone. The 100 million USD project will begin its first phase with an initial investment of 30 million USD.
Fergana Tractor Manufacturing Plant has already been registered in partnership with Chinese Partners. Production of various tractor models under the national “Tulpor” brand is slated to start by year-end. The facility will prioritize environmental sustainability, featuring solar panels on its roof capable of generating 2 megawatts of electricity to power operations independently.
The project will be executed in two phases. The first phase includes building the tractor manufacturing plant, followed by the second, focusing on producing spare parts and establishing technical service centers. Smart technologies will be integrated to enhance production efficiency and improve product quality. Tractors will be supplied to both local and international markets.
The projectʼs initial stage is expected to create 250 new jobs. Governor Bozorov stressed the urgency of launching the initiative swiftly, issuing directives to officials to ensure progress. Both sides committed to strengthening their long-term partnership.“
