Uzbekistan establishes diplomatic relations with Kenya

Uzbekistan and Kenya have established diplomatic relations. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, announced.
Saidov held talks with Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi. The meeting took place in New York, where the two sides signed a communiqué in the presence of the countries’ top foreign policy officials.
“Kenya is demonstrating remarkable progress as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies and a hub for technology and innovation. We discussed a wide range of opportunities for fruitful cooperation that will directly benefit the people of both nations,” the statement said.
With this agreement, the number of countries with which Uzbekistan maintains diplomatic relations has increased to 164.
Earlier, Uzbekistan also established diplomatic relations with Eritrea, located in East Africa.
