As previously reported, the Uzbekistan delegation is participating in the 70th anniversary session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, currently being held in New York, United States. As part of the session, members of the delegation participated in a number of high - level international events. 

In particular, during the ministerial - level roundtable discussion titled “Ensuring and Strengthening Access to Justice for All Women and Girls,” as well as the interactive dialogue “Closing the Justice Gap: Ensuring Justice for All Women and Girls,” members ofthe delegation shared the results of large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan aimed at expanding women’s access to justice and ensuring gender equality within the judicial system.

Delegation members also participated in plenary meetings, thematic discussions, and various international meetings held during the session. During these events, they provided information on the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan to support women, protect their rights and interests, and increase their participation in social and political life.

In addition, a number of bilateral meetings were held during the visit. In particular, a productive dialogue took place with the delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The discussions focused on further expanding cooperation between the two countries in protecting women’s rights, ensuring gender equality, increasing women’s economic and social activity, and strengthening the institution of the family. At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue developingcooperation in the future, exchange experience, and organize joint events.
