The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sincerely congratulated the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilhom Aliyev on his birthday during a telephone conversation held on December 24.

The Head of our state emphasized President Aliyev’s significant role in strengthening Azerbaijan’s independence, restoring territorial integrity, ensuring sustainable development, and enhancing the country's international prestige.

The two presidents considered topical issues of further expansion and strengthening of Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations of friendship and alliance in the context of implementation of agreements at the highest level.

It was noted with great satisfaction that joint efforts in the "Year of Active Development of Bilateral Cooperation" have yielded effective results.

Trade between the two countries is growing rapidly, with active cooperation projects in automotive manufacturing, textiles, electrical engineering, agriculture, tourism, and other sectors. A comprehensive cultural and humanitarian exchange program is being implemented.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan also exchanged views on the international agenda and reviewed the schedule of upcoming events.
