Number of citizens sent abroad for work from Uzbekistan in the past six months announced

Over the past six months, 64 thousand individuals from Uzbekistan, who expressed a desire to work abroad, were sent to foreign countries in a legally safe and organized way. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction.
This figure represents a threefold increase compared to the same period last year. Significant progress has been made in facilitating temporary employment abroad during this period. The geographical range of countries expanded with the addition of developed nations to the list.
In the second half of this year, 90,000 people are planned to be employed in developed countries including South Korea, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary. The program for employing Uzbeks abroad is based on the principle: 'Work abroad — from the mahalla.
Furthermore, by the end of this year, it is planned to train another 115 thousand unemployed people in entrepreneurial skills, in-demand professions, and foreign languages.
