Uzbekistan’s GDP reaches $121.4 billion
An international conference and press briefing titled “A New Stage in National Statistics: Towards Transparency and International Standards” was held today, 17 November, to highlight ongoing reforms in the national statistical system.
According to the reports, final calculations show that the nominal volume of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) for 2024 increased by 5.6 percent, from 1,454.6 trillion UZS at current prices to 1,535.4 trillion UZS.
It was also noted that GDP measured in U.S. dollars rose from USD 115.0 billion to USD 121.4 billion. Following the recalculation, per capita GDP for 2024 amounted to 41.3 million UZS.
As a result of ensuring full coverage of the 2024 state budget execution, an additional 36.4 trillion UZS of newly created value was identified. In the industrial sector, value added increased by 12.7 trillion UZS in 2024. Additional gross value added was also recorded in agriculture (5.6 trillion UZS), construction (10.3 trillion UZS), and services (16.3 trillion UZS).
