Navoi State University to be established

On October 31, during his visit to Navoi region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree to establish Navoi State University (NSU), based on the existing Navoi State Pedagogical Institute.
According to the document, all existing students of the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute will continue their studies at the newly formed university. Graduates will receive a diploma from NSU starting from the 2024/2025 academic year.
The university will launch specialized training programs in natural and applied sciences, information technology, artificial intelligence, economics, business and tourism, investment management, agriculture, ecology, environmental protection, and logistics starting from the next academic year.
To integrate education with practical experience, the university will implement a dual-education model, establishing branches of university departments within relevant companies and organizations.
Joint educational programs in new fields and specialties will be introduced in collaboration with other higher education institutions in the country and abroad, allowing graduates to receive dual diplomas.
Some bachelor's and master's degree programs will be offered in foreign languages, and these programs will progressively prepare for international accreditation.
Starting January 1, 2025, the university will be granted academic, organizational, and financial autonomy.
