Iran’s Cabinet has approved the unilateral cancellation of the visa regime with 32 countries.
Uzbekistan is among the visa-free regime countries along with the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, India, Russia, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Mauritania, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Seychelles, Indonesia, Brunei, Japan, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brazil, Peru, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia and Belarus.
Iran's Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Ezzatollah Zarghami informed journalists about the news after the Cabinet meeting in Tehran.
As the Iranian Minister noted, the government wants to open the country's doors to the world.
"Iran wants to communicate with the world and people and fight against Iranophobia. Unilateral cancellation of the visa requirements is an opportunity to communicate with foreign citizens who come to Iran," said Zarghami.
According to the Minister, initially, there was a proposal to introduce a visa-free policy for 60 countries, however, 32 were approved in the end.
