Number of applicants recommended for studentship in new academic year announced
The Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Competences provided information on the results of the exams held for the 2024-2025 academic year.
According to the data, 186,871 applicants were recommended for admission to undergraduate degree programs. 41,153 of them received a state grant, and 145,718 were accepted on a tuition-contract basis. Among those recommended for admission, 120,845 are recent high school graduates.
For full-time education, 39,903 applicants were accepted on state grants and 84,132 on a tuition-contract basis. For part-time education, 1,046 applicants were recommended on a grant basis (preferential) and 48,555 on a tuition-contract basis. For evening education, 153 applicants were accepted on state grants (preferential) and 8,455 on a tuition-contract basis; for distance learning, 51 applicants were recommended on state grants (preferential) and 4,576 on a tuition-contract basis.
Additionally, 14,230 applicants were admitted under preferential admission parameters, with 10,494 on state grants and 3,736 on a tuition-contract basis.
The passing score required for state grants averaged 121.7 this year, whereas it was 94.7 for tuition-contract admissions.
Furthermore, entrance exams for professional vocational schools were held simultaneously. According to the new procedure, the selection for professional vocational schools will take place after the announcement of the admission results for higher education institutions. Accordingly, applicants who participated in the tests must choose a professional vocational institution (college or technical school), profession, specialty, and form of education on my.uzbmb.uz website between August 18-27.
