Uzbek national on Interpol wanted list extradited from the UAE
A citizen of Uzbekistan who had been placed on an international wanted list via Interpol has been extradited from the United Arab Emirates to Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
According to the ministry, the extradition was carried out as a result of close cooperation between Interpol’s National Central Bureaus in Tashkent and Abu Dhabi. The citizen, who was internationally wanted for fraud at the initiative of law enforcement agencies, was extradited from the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The extradition was made possible through coordinated actions between the competent authorities of both countries and effective cooperation using Interpol channels. These efforts aim to combat transnational crime and ensure the accountability of those involved.
The extradited citizen has now been handed over to the relevant authorities in accordance with the law to face criminal charges and stand trial.
