Tashkent master plan through 2045 approved
Maps detailing the key indicators of the master plan will be made publicly available on the geoinformation System of Urban Cadastre under the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services.
The master plan for Tashkent city through 2045 has been officially approved under Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 880, dated December 24, 2024.
This document is aimed at ensuring the sustainable and balanced development of the capital, meeting the current and future needs of its residents. It encompasses initiatives to protect ecological zones and cultural heritage, modernize infrastructure, and expand green spaces.
In line with the resolution, maps reflecting the indicators outlined in the master plan will be published as open data on the geoinformation system of Urban Cadastre under the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services.
Construction activities within Tashkent will strictly adhere to the master plan and approved master layouts, detailed planning projects, or construction designs.
The Hokim (Mayor) of Tashkent is entrusted with providing quarterly reports to the Chairmanship of the Cabinet of Ministers on the progress of implementing the master plan.
The primary objectives of developing the master plan are:
— Regulating the process of granting construction permits;
— Planning the cityʼs engineering and road transport infrastructure, population density parameters, and overall development strategy;
— Preserving the cityʼs green spaces, sanitary protection zones, and cultural heritage;
— Defining pathways for socio-economic development;
— Meeting the current and future needs of the population.
