Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits “New Uzbekistan” residential complex in Yakkabog district

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the “New Uzbekistan” residential complex built in the Yakkabog district.
Aimed at improving living standards and quality of life, the complex was constructed using advanced urban planning solutions. The multi-storey buildings have transformed the districtʼs landscape with their attractive design, orderly layout, and well-maintained surroundings. Covering 18 hectares, the complex consists of 54 five-storey buildings, offering 1,400 apartments to local residents.
The development stands out not only for its modern architecture but also for the convenience of the infrastructure provided for residents. Each building is equipped with up-to-date utilities, while the surrounding areas feature playgrounds and parking lots.
A three-storey Eco Bozor (Eco Market) has also been built on-site, giving local farmers the opportunity to sell their produce directly to consumers. This setup has been well-received by residents, both in terms of quality and pricing. The market has created 640 jobs.
The President toured the market facilities and spoke with vendors and shoppers.
“Markets reflect a nationʼs abundance, prosperity, and culture,” said the President. “Itʼs encouraging to see such a well-developed space built in Yakkabog. Our peopleʼs purchasing power and market culture are growing. Thatʼs why we need to build more of these convenient trade centers.”
A notable feature of the complex is the installation of solar panels and heliocollectors on its infrastructure facilities. These play an important role in ensuring energy efficiency, continuous power supply, and environmental safety.
Additional amenities have also been created for recreation and leisure, particularly for children and youth. Walking areas, a kindergarten, sports grounds, wellness centers, and service points have all been developed under a unified concept.
Officials were instructed to apply this model when developing other district centers and residential areas.
