Shavkat Mirziyoev ratifies international agreement on the implementation of a railway project
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, signed a decree "On the Ratification of the International Agreement." Telegram channel “Huquqiy axborot” reported this.
According to the decree, the cooperation agreement between China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan on the joint implementation of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project was ratified.
This agreement was signed on June 6, 2024 in Beijing. The Ministry of Transport has been designated as the authorized body responsible for implementing this international agreement.
"The Cabinet of Ministers and the heads of relevant ministries and agencies will oversee the implementation of the agreement's provisions once it comes into force," the report states.
The cooperation agreement between the three countries on constructing the Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China railway project was signed at the SCO summit held in Samarkand in September 2022.
Earlier, the President of Uzbekistan highly appreciated fruitful cooperation with the International Labor Organization.
