China Energy intends to participate in the construction of a hybrid power plant in the Navoi region
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Chairman of China Energy Engineering Corporation Song Hailiang during the second day of his visit to China.
Having extensive experience in the design and construction of modern energy, infrastructure and industry facilities, a leading Chinese corporation - China Energy, is widely involved in the implementation of major investment projects in many countries around the world. The company's assets exceed 150 billion dollars.
The company's active participation in the technological modernization of Uzbekistan's energy sector was noted with satisfaction during the meeting.
China Energy is implementing projects for construction of solar and wind power plants in Kashkadarya and Bukhara regions, as well as thermal power plant in Syrdarya region.
The company plans to participate in the construction of a hybrid power plant in the Navoi region.
In addition, in September this year modern facilities for cement production were jointly put into operation in Samarkand region.
The prospects for partnership with China Energy were discussed, including the modernization of infrastructure facilities, the creation of energy storage systems, and the training of qualified specialists within the framework of the Industry Development Program 2030.
Special attention was also paid to cooperation in the water sector and the implementation of joint projects in various industries.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on preparing a comprehensive program to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
