Uzbekistan to expand cooperation with the French company on uranium mining
On the sidelines of the Uzbekistan – France Business Forum in Samarkand, held as part of President Emmanuel Macron’s official visit, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Orano, Claude Imauven.
Orano is the world’s largest producer of uranium and nuclear fuel, with assets of more than 29 billion euros.
The initiatives to expand cooperation in geological exploration and uranium mining were supported at the meeting.
