Uzbekistan has placed 79th out of 139 countries in the 2025 Global Innovation Index (GII), published annually by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Uzbekistan first joined the index in 2015, ranking 122nd among 141 countries. In 2024, it was recorded in 83rd position among 132 countries.
