Uzbekistan approves State Budget for 2026
On 25 December this year, the Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2026” (No. O‘RQ–1105) was adopted. The law regulates the formation and execution of the country’s consolidated budget for the 2026 fiscal year.
Under the legislation, first-level budget administrators may use allocations from the republican budget only during the 2026 fiscal year. Any unspent funds may not be carried over to the following year.
The law also approves for 2026:
·minimum rental rates for individuals and legal entities leasing out property;
· capped fee rates for the right to engage in retail trade of certain categories of goods;
· fee rates for the entry of foreign motor vehicles into Uzbekistan and for their transit through its territory.
The ceiling for the consolidated budget deficit for 2026 has been set at 3% of gross domestic product (GDP).
The law will come into force on 1 January 2026.
