UZS 15 billion to be allocated for football development in Uzbekistan in 2025
In line with the Presidential Resolution aimed at promoting football in Uzbekistan, a ‘Legionnaires’ Club’ will be established under the Uzbekistan Football Association.
The resolution also calls for the creation of a Digital Football Situational Center at the National Football Center to identify talented players at an early stage, a VAR (Video Assistant Referee) Center to provide centralized monitoring of matches, and a DATA Football Center to store information within the football information system.
In addition, a ‘Legionnaires’ Club’ will be established under the Uzbekistan Football Association.
The club will bring together highly skilled professional footballers and other specialists from Uzbekistan who are working, or have worked, abroad.
In addition, starting from 1 October 2025, the program ‘A Football Field in Every Mahalla’ will be launched to build football pitches in local communities.
As part of the program, unused state-owned properties (land plots) in mahallas will be put up for electronic online auctions. A portion of each site must be used to build afootball field, which cannot be repurposed for at least 10 years. Auction winners will also receive the right to use and manage the remaining part of the purchased land in line with legislation.
If the state-owned land plots offered at electronic online auctions remain unsold for three months, their starting price will be gradually reduced by 10 percent at each stage, but by no more than 50 percent overall. Buyers will also be allowed topay for the purchase in installments over a period of up to three years.
To ensure the full and effective implementation of the resolution, the Ministry of Economy andFinance will allocate an additional UZS 15 billion from the state budget to the Uzbekistan Football Association in 2025.
