Presidents of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea discuss further plans to enhance multifaceted cooperation
On November 21, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol had a telephone conversation.
They discussed current issues of further development of Uzbek-South Korean friendly relationship, special strategic partnership, and the expansion of multidimensional cooperation.
Special attention was paid to the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the meeting of leaders of the two countries on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York in September this year.
The importance of continuing active contacts and exchanges in various formats of interaction was underlined.
The interest in accelerating the implementation of cooperation projects between leading companies and the formation of a new partnership program with banking and financial institutions of South Korea was expressed.
Leaders agreed to hold a meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Committee by the end of this year.
The Presidents of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea also reviewed the schedule of upcoming high-level events.
