President of Uzbekistan receives Defense Minister of Russian Federation
On January 22, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Andrey Belousov, who was visiting our country.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Belousov conveyed greetings and warm wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Uzbek leader.
Discussions focused on further developing and strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Russia. This included the practical implementation of agreements reached during Russian Presidentʼs state visit to Uzbekistan in May 2024.
Both sides emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries under the adopted programs and cooperation plans.
