On October 17-18, an international scientific and practical conference on “The Role of Imam Termiziʼs Scientific Legacy in Islamic Civilization” will be held in Termez. It is expected that renowned Islamic scholars, representatives of science, and researchers from many countries, including Turkey, Qatar, Pakistan, India, and Kyrgyzstan, will participate.

Preparations are underway to hold an international scientific and practical conference at a high level in honor of the 1200th anniversary of our great ancestor, Imam Termiziʼs birth. Efforts are also being focused on improving the road infrastructure leading to Imam Termiziʼs shrine and the beautification of the memorial complex and its surrounding areas.

As part of the events, an exhibition of rare manuscripts, published copies, and books dedicated to the life, scientific, and creative contributions of Imam Termizi and other scholars of Termez is planned to be organized in the complex where this great scholar, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of Islamic sciences, is laid to rest.

It is worth noting that this prestigious international conference is being organized under the decree of our President, adopted on August 15 of this year, “On the wide celebration of the 1200th anniversary of Imam Termiziʼs birth.
