Uzbekistan appoints new ambassador to Kyrgyzstan
Saidikrom Niyozkhodjaev was appointed as Uzbekistanʼs new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kyrgyz Republic. This was reported by ʼDunyo Information Agency.
It is worth noting that Niyozkhodjaev previously served as Uzbekistanʼs ambassador to Kazakhstan. Since 2018, he has held the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in the neighboring country.
In recognition of his significant contributions to strengthening bilateral relations, Niyozkhodjaev was awarded the Order of “Dostyk” II degree by the President of Kazakhstan in August 2024.
He is 59 years old and graduated from the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute (now Tashkent State Technical University). Before being appointed as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan in 2015, he held several key government positions, including Deputy State Advisor and Deputy Minister of Economy.
Saidikram Niyazkhojayev succeeded Khurshid Mirzakhidov, who headed the diplomatic mission in Bishkek from 2020 to 2024.
